Happy Howl-O-Ween!
Updated: Oct 29, 2022
With Autumn in full swing here are some of our favourite things to do with our dogs for Halloween, tried and tested by Amy's pack!
1. Pumpkin Picking 🎃

Choose your perfect pumpkin to carve or to make some yummy treats with. Pumpkin picking with your pup is great fun!
It's great fun exploring the pumpkin rows in search of your perfect pumpkin! Your dog may help you sniff out the best one! There are Giant pumpkins and a variety of different pumpkin sizes and colours! Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome at most pumpkin patches.
Samson enjoyed the wheel barrow ride and walking through the corn maze at Croston Pumpkin patch!
2. Peanut Butter & Pumpkin Apples 💀

Not only do these treats smell amazing (very important for those canine sniffers!) they are packed with flavour. Pumpkin seeds rank high in zinc, a mineral recommended for dogs with copper toxicosis, a.k.a. copper storage disease. (Sunflower seeds, on the other hand, are high in copper, so if your dog has liver problems, check with your vet before adding them to their diet.
Blade says they’re delicious but I’m here to tell you that these peanut butter pumpkin apples are loaded with tasty health benefits. They are naturally sweet, packed with vitamins, and all that fiber will help your friend go, if you know what I mean 😉
Ingredients
1 Apple
Peanut Butter (xylitol and palm oil free)
1 Dental Chew
1/4 cup of Pumpkin Seeds
1/4 cup of Sunflower Seeds
Use an apple corer to remove the core of the apple.
Slide the dental chew into the centre of the apple where the core has been removed.
Coat the apple in peanut butter.
For extra crunch and to make the treat last a little longer, freeze overnight.
3. Scary Movie 👻

Who's a better horror film buddy than your dog to protect you from the zombies and ghosts? Get the popcorn, the comfy blankets, snuggle up and when the inevitable ‘jump scare’ happens…. and you inevitably knock over the bowl of popcorn… your pooch will hit the Jackpop (popcorn jackpot)! Here is are list of top 5 films to watch with your dog with our spooky ratings.
👻 Not Scary |👻👻 A little scary | 👻👻👻 FRIGHTENING

4. Halloween Costumes 😈
Whether you are taking kiddies trick or treating and want your pup to go along too, or just want to get in the spooky spirit there are some amazing costumes around for dogs! B&M have a great range and are super cheap too! They have jumpers, scary spider costumes and even cute little devil costumes. If your dog isn't too keen on dressing up, there is always cute Halloween collars to get in the spooky spirit! Kodie loves dressing up, here he is in his little devil costume (which suits his mischievous personality) 😈
